The Ol’ Mud Check

In the Biker world, there’s a thing called a mud check. A person basically gets made to believe that they are in a very dire situation to see how they will react and whether or not that they can “hold their mud”. In times like these, you get a feel for who you really are dealing with, and whether or not you want them by your side.

In so many ways, this project has been a mud check. A lot has been put into this project and sacrifices have been made because the mission is more important than financial security to me.

By day, I work for a nonprofit “NGO” doing property maintenance. I had to have a neck surgery to prevent losing function in the future. I pay for extra insurance to be covered if I need medical care that will prevent me from not working. I was out of work for two months and I’ve been back to light duty part time while I recuperate. Once I got back to work, the reality is that after my deductions, I’m only left with $100 a week in my paycheck for the next month or so. Thankfully, I am at a place in my life where I won’t lose my housing or transportation over it, but most people I know would.

The little bits of crypto that I have scraped up through the same system that I built this website to show people how to use has been the only thing saving my ass for the last few months. Throughout this personal financial crisis, I have managed to keep this project afloat, and keep building. I’ve sold off a lot of things to get by, but I haven’t sold one token of REZN. Some liquidity was pulled to offset marketing expenses, but this entire project has been 100% out of pocket cost that has delivered profits to its investors while working to promote social good.

I’m holding my mud, are you holding REZN?
